Every year, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez turns into a vast playground for sailing enthusiasts. Between modern yachts built for performance and classic sailboats steeped in history, the Voiles de Saint-Tropez have become an unmissable late-summer event on the French Riviera. Here’s the schedule and key information for the 2026 edition.
When does the event take place?
The regatta runs from Monday, September 28 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, with a program spread across several fleets:
- Modern yachts: races from September 28 to October 3, first warning signal at 11:00 AM
- Classic yachts: races from September 29 to October 3, first warning signal at 12:00 PM, with highlights such as the Centenaires Regatta and the Club 55 Cup
- Maxi Yachts: races from September 28 to October 3, alternating coastal courses and windward-leeward courses depending on weather conditions
The event will close with the prize-giving ceremony on the weekend of October 3–4.
Where do the races take place?
The races take place in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, between the Chrétienne buoy to the east and the Fourmigue buoy to the west — waters well known to harbor regulars, offering exceptional views both from the quays and from out at sea.
How to tell the fleets apart?
On the water, each fleet has its own colors:
- Modern yachts: white marks, white Rolex finish buoy
- Classic yachts: yellow Rolex marks and finish buoy
- Maxi Yachts: white marks

Official race boats fly the SNST flag (red-white-red with an anchor), easily spotted among the fleet.

A unique atmosphere to experience from the water
Beyond the competition, the Voiles de Saint-Tropez are above all a chance to enjoy the Gulf in a festive atmosphere: yachts at anchor, cruises to watch the races up close, and gourmet stops between races. It’s also one of the finest times of year to sail the bay, with still-summery weather and unbeatable late-afternoon light.
